Born: Burton-on-Trent, England Enlisted: 26-6-1915, Melbourne, Victoria 60th Battalion Australian Infantry Killed in Action: 25-10-1917, Belgium aged 32years Resting: The Huts Cemetery, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium Son of Francis Whysall Parker and the late William James Parker. Honoured Australian War Memorial Panel 170 Awarded Military Cross - For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He rendered invaluable service in organising parties and assisting the wounded under heavy shell fire. he also carried out a difficult reconnaissance of a new position. |
