GLAZEBURY MAN KILLED
Private James Smethurst, who has been killed in action whilst serving with the British Expeditionary Force in France was a well known Glazebury Pte. He was formerly employed at Johnson's farm on the Moss and emigrated to Australia about five years ago. When war broke out he joined the Australian Imperial Force. He was 26years of age and a single man. His relatives reside at 14 Gill st., Glazebury.
