FALLEN HERO.
News reached Dumbleyung last week of the death of Albert Morrow, of Dongolocking. For some reason the painful news had been withheld
for some weeks by the military authorities from the parents, as it appears evident that their son was killed prior to the evacuation of Gallipoli. Albert Morrow, with his elder brother, Edwin, were, though mere boys of 18 and 20, among the first to enlist. Since then the third son, Will, has gone to do his part. Great sympathy is felt for the sorrowing parents. It will be a great consolation, however, to realise that their boy died a hero, and at present lies with many other gallant Australians on hallowed ground.

LATE SERGEANT A. PARKER.
News has been received by the friends of the late Sergeant A. (Tanto) Parker, A.M.C., that he has been killed in action in France. At the time he enlisted he was employed by Mr. John Yeo, builder, Semaphore. Previous to that he was "rate-collector" for the Thebarton Corporation.
Sergeant Parker offered his services the first day of the call, left with the first contingent, was at the landing and remained on Gallipoli - until the
evacuation, and then proceeded to France where he was killed last month. He was a native of Preston, Lancashire, and a corporal in the Duke of Lancaster Yeomanry (Preston Troop). He came to Australia six years ago. He was 26 years old, had a bright disposition, and was greatly respected by all who knew him.
