SECOND-LIEUT. T. H. EVANS.
Second-lieutenant Thomas Hatfield Evans, of Sydney, who has been killed, was 32 years of age. He was a platoon, commander of D Company, 3rd Battalion. Lieut. Evans left Sydney as a sergeant of the machine gun section, and received his commission on January 1, whilst in Egypt. He served throughout the South African war, and was a splendid athlete and a keen motorist. His people reside in Herts, England.
