George is honoured on the war memorial for World War found on the left hand wall inside St Mary’s Church, Carlton Road, Manby. It is in the form of a wooden plaque, ornately decorated with a further brass plaque inset containing the inscription and the names of the fallen. The memorial is split into three columns, two columns list those who served and one column lists those who gave their lives.
