Concerning the death of Private David L. Morrison, who was killed in action in France on 4th May,
Private Alick J. Steven writes as follows:-"His death was the result of a bullet passing through his head . He enlisted in August, 1914, was an original member of the 14th Battalion and saw service at Gallipoli and in France. After the evacuation from the peninsula he was invalided to Australia, but rejoined the fighting force and went to France at the latter end of 1916. He was well-known in the Mildura district, particularly
in Irymple, where he had a wide circle of friends. He came from Scotland to Mildura about seven years ago, along with Jim and Bob Campbell, and all three have met their end in France. Private Morrison was a member of the Sandalong Tennis Club and Irymple Soccer Club.
Concerning the death of Private David L. Morrison, who was killed in action in France on 4th May,
